Dear Target,
I am terribly sorry for the mess I made in your store. Before you get angry with me, please let me explain...
Mom said I could get new nail polish. It is the first time she let ME pick and I was so excited about the sparkly purple color I chose that I could not wait to paint my toes. (Purple is the only color I know and it is my favorite.) I've seen Mom paint my toes a million times and it doesn't look very tough. So, while she was taking her time shopping and ignoring me, I decided I might as well open the bottle and give it a try. To my surprise, it is a lot harder than it looks.
Please believe me when I say I did not mean to leave a big purple puddle in your store or a large purple spot in your cart. If it is any consolation, I also ruined the outfit I was wearing and was further tortured as my mom scrubbed the polish off of my legs, arms, and hands with remover when we got home.
I am truly sorry for the mess. Mom said it won't ever happen again.
Sincerely,
Lucy E

Great Pleasure!
Ok...back to business! (BTW...Lucy is better, she just had a virus and a fast moving fever...And then Rex had swimmers ear, so we were back to the Dr. for time #3 in a week...and then, because of the stress, Todd's allergies were bad all week, so he spent the weekend on benadryl while we spent it at home...sounds fun huh?)
Anyhoo...here is some of the news I wanted to share last week!
(Last) Sunday we took Milwaukee by storm for our annual trip to GERMANFEST! I can't say how much fun it is every year. In fact, I try and try and try, but we rarely have any new takers for the event so I give up. You have to GO to understand how cool it is to wander and drink and do Jager shots and dress your kids like little Germans and listen to German bands as they play American music. I mean really, when was the last time you were on a dance floor with a drunk guy and his accordion...Didn't think so...
The low down of our day...We met the K fam at the door, while Turbo was greeted by Das Boot. A perfect beginning as far as we were all concerned. Lucy was decked out in her little dirndl, handmade by Oma and Opa just for the event. We wandered and ate (yum!) and bought new t's for the whole fam. (Found out later that the one Turbo got, a sweet Ubermensch, is not only cool, but the concept dates back to Nietzsche and was the basis for modern day Superman. Of course, it was also eventually modified to become a fave term of the Nazi's...Ooopps.)
We called it a night just before 10:30 and watched the fireworks from the car. Another perfect event for our German crew...
