Disney World!

Lucy's debut at the Magic Kingdom did not disappoint! We worried a bit that she was too young, but it was obvious we were mistaken. It was as magical as it could be for our little princess! (Of course, the rest of us has fun too...)

On the Disney ferry!

The Princess Castle, in real life!

Lucy met Pinocchio...

And Mickey and Minnie...

Actually, we all met Mickey and Minnie.

She also met Pluto. He was silly.

And Princess Aurora

And, of course, had a long chat with Belle.

She even took a minute to visit with the Mayor.

Nate showed the little kids how to jump rope.

And we all waited to ride Space Mountain.

We got to be some of the first to try out Goofy's new roller coaster.

It was pretty awesome.

Rex tried to pull the sword from the stone,

But Nate is the one that got it out.

Finally made it on Space Mountain! (It was worth the wait!)

The boys got busted.

Nate guarded a pirate's booty

And checked out the engineering in the Swiss family tree house.

Little Max was with us for his first visit too! (Isn't he adorable?!?)

It was nice to share a super fun day with such great friends!

Rex and Lucy played the 'magical' organ while
we waited for our tour through the Haunted Mansion.

A little kiss from Tinker Bell during the parade.

Rex does not like Stinker Bell kisses.

We took a ride on Prince Charming's carousel,

Rex found out too late it was a princess ride.

Nate looking regal in Cinderella's royal chair.

In true E Family fashion we closed the park.
That meant we got to take a stroll through the castle!

By that time our princess had seen enough,
she couldn't keep her eyes open long enough for a family photo.

It was almost more magical at night.

Our last shot of the night, Grandma & Papa in front of the color changing castle.

Ways Turbo Drives Me Nuts...

#1 He learned how to use Pinterest just so he can pin odd things on my boards. (Of course, people love the crap too, so I also have the pleasure of getting numerous emails when others re-pin it...)

7 Year Itch

These days catching my breath is a luxury...work, dinner, soccer, gymnastics, homework, laundry, dishes, I swear I could go on for hours with the list of things I am constantly trying to wrap my brain around and there is still snow on the ground. I am somewhat dreading the summer months when we are actually busy!

So this morning when I woke up bright and early, before any of the kids, I decided to sneak downstairs with my computer. I made a pot of coffee, turned on the Seven Year Itch, and started stalking my new favorite foodie blogger, Bakerella. She makes the cutest little cake pops and tells sweet little stories about her adventures, it made me the teensiest bit jealous that the time I spend in front of a computer these days is all dedicated to my 9-5. Add the dreamy overworked hubby in my vintage movie and I begin to fear I too am on the verge of a mid life crisis...

No time for baking treats? No time for taking pictures? Or sharing recipes and crafts? Or thrifty finds? Or funny stories about my crew? Who the hell am I?

Of course, I have still been doing all of this. Making treats...like adorable eyeball cake pops for Halloween, yummy minty cookies for Christmas, oh, and I do believe I have perfected the sugar cookie (the last batch was compared to those sold a local bakery...woot! woot!). And pictures? I splurged and spent a bazillion dollars on a glorious Cannon that has snapped the few photos I have shared, but truth be told there are tons more. That little gem beckons my fingers to its shutter every chance it gets and I don't dare deny it.

I can go on and on with my endeavors. This part of me is hard wired deep in my core, shutting it off will never be an option for dreamy little me.

So now I sit (not so alone anymore because Turbo just woke up) thinking about my newest conquest...Rekindling my inner blogger. I feel every time I sign on lately I begin with an apology, then end with a promise. But I am going to try to do better. Rather than curl up and unwind in front of Lester Holt on Friday nights (because that's what you do when you are 35 going on 50) I am going to try to snap a photo of the sweet little treats, share the stories of the kids, tell the tales of the E family adventures.

After all, we are still having them. Maybe more than ever as the kids are bigger and, dare I say, more entertaining that they were before. And we are a little more active and involved, aware and outspoken. In fact, it is a really good time to be part of this E Family...and I think it is about time we got back to telling you so.

Rex Games

We have only had a little snow this season, but it is just enough for Rex to try out his new snowboard. Turbo and I just adore watching our little Flying Onion practice his moves on our backyard hill. One day maybe we'll make it to Aspen too!

Birthday Girl!

Oh how time flies...
Our little princess turned 3 last week. We hosted a teensy little gathering to celebrate (and show off the new pad to the K fam before the holiday madness hits).

Our super girly girl in action.

Hugs and kisses for Opa!

Rex and Meggie were even allowed to help with presents.
(Have I told you yet that Meggie is her favorite?)

Cake time!
(One guess who got hot pink frosting everywhere...)

It's not a K family party without Jager shots!

Poor Katie, she's the youngest so we feel we have to torment her all of the time.
Thank goodness she is finally legally old enough to tolerate us with a glass of wine...
